The authors suggest a new approach for solving the problem of existence of echo waves in a high-dimensional system. The problem on existence of echo waves in \(n\) identical coupled oscillators is transformed into that on existence of a periodic solution in a functional differential equation of a planar system. The location of periodic solutions is given and then, the existence of echo waves in the \(n\) coupled Oregonators is proved.
