The authors present an alternative boundary integral formulation for soil-structure interaction problems, where a fundamental solution is not always available. The spatial Fourier transform is utilized to obtain BEM matrices. The approach can be applied to all variants of BEM. For Galerkin methods, the double integrations over boundary panels are replaced by single integrations over the infinite domain.
