The authors study linear time-invariant difference-algebraic equations with nonnegative solutions, deriving conditions in terms of the coefficient matrices of the system such that the solutions of the singular system are nonnegative. They also characterize positive reachability and positive controllability properties. Their results can be seen as generalizations of known results for ordinary nonnegative linear systems.
