The authors study the fibrewise (pointed) homotopy, fiberwise (pointed) fibration and fibrewise (pointed) cofibration in the category MAP, whose objects are continuous maps \(p:X\to B\) between topological spaces \(X\) and \(B\), and morphisms from \(p_1:X_1\to B_1\) to \(p_2:X_2\to B_2\) are pairs \((\varphi, \alpha)\) of continuous maps \(\varphi:X_1\to X_2\) and \(\alpha:B_1\to B_2\) such that \(p_2\circ \varphi=\alpha \circ p_1\). The authors obtain results which generalize some of those presented in [\textit{I. M. James}, Fibrewise topology, Camb. Tracts Math. 91 (1989; Zbl 0671.55001)], where the results concern the category \(\text{MAP}_B\) obtained from MAP by fixing a topological space \(B=B_1=B_2\) and setting \(\alpha=id_B\).
