The main result of this paper is a criterion for transcendental series consisting of reciprocal natural numbers. The proof is based on Roth's theorem. Some applications for generalised Fibonacci and Lucas numbers are included. For Part I, see Rocky Mt. J. Math. 30, 1111-1120 (2000; Zbl 0972.11063).
