Existence of positive solutions for singular initial and boundary value problems via the classical upper and lower solution approach (Q1612566)

Here, the authors approximate the singular problem by a sequence of nonsingular problems and use standard results from the classical theory of upper and lower solutions to generate a solution to each approximating problem. They show that the obtained sequence converges to a solution to the given singular problem.
