Let \(B\) be the unit ball in the Euclidean space \(E^{n}\) and \(f,g:B\to E^{n}\) two continuous functions. The author gives conditions which assure the existence of coincidences of \(f\) and \(g\). Some applications to the existence of steady states in coupled systems are given.
