The paper investigates by some different metric the consequences of the reported acceleration of the expansion of the Universe. Solutions of Einstein's field equation are given which go smoothly between Schwarzschild's relativistic gravitational solution near a mass concentration to the Friedmann-Lemaitre expanding universe solution. A static curved-space extension of the Lemaitre-Schwarzschild solution in vacuum is given. It is found that when the rate of expansion of the Universe is increasing, space is broken up into domains of attraction. A domain-size-mass relationship is given.
