The authors study the motion of two satellites connected by light flexible inextensible string in the Earth gravitational field under the solar radiation pressure. Since the satellites encounter the Earth shadow at different epochs from each other, the authors study under some special conditions how the shadowing effect difference between the two satellites affects the system.
