Group analysis methods are applied to the heat and Burgers' equations. It is shown that the determining equations for the nonclassical reductions of these equations belong to a Burgers' equation hierarchy and can be written in terms of the same matrix as Burgers' equation. The last one is linearized via a matrix Hopf-Cole transformation. Both systems are solved simultaneously in a compact form.
