The author proves the existence of at least three critical points of a double-well quasiconvex variational functional arising in the study of material microstructure in geometrically linear elasticity. These critical points represent weak solutions of a suitably associated Neumann boundary value problem. The approach relies on the use of the Mountain Pass Theorem with a weak Palais-Smale condition.
