Summary: We discuss some different results on the digits of prime numbers, giving a simplified proof of weak forms of a result of [the author, Invent. Math. 217, No. 1, 127--218 (2019; Zbl 1477.11167)] and \textit{C. Mauduit} and \textit{J. Rivat} [Ann. Math. (2) 171, No. 3, 1591--1646 (2010; Zbl 1213.11025)].
