The author gives an alternative proof of the stable reduction theorem for curves over the fraction field of a Dedekind domain with marked points (see for instance [\textit{F. F. Knudsen}, Math. Scand. 52, 161--199 (1983; Zbl 0544.14020)]). This proof follows the lines of \textit{Q. Liu} [Compos. Math. 142, No. 1, 101--118 (2006; Zbl 1108.14020)]. He then focuses on the genus 0 case, where he describes all regular and semi-stable models over a complete discrete valuation ring in terms of subtrees of the Bruhat-Tits tree of $\mathrm{PGL}(2,K)$.
