In [Duke Math. J. 4, 247--269 (1938; Zbl 0020.34801)], \textit{Ø. Ore} proved that a finite group is cyclic iff its subgroup lattice is distributive. In the paper under review, the author gives a group theoretical proof of a dual version of this result.
