Affine functions on Alexandrov spaces (Q1650187)

This paper addresses affine functions on finite-dimensional Alexandrov spaces with curvature bounded below. It is shown that such a space has a canonical embedding into the product of a Euclidean space with a second Alexandrov space, which has the same lower curvature bound, so that the affine functions are induced by those on the Euclidean factor. A similar result is proved for spaces with an upper curvature bound in [\textit{A. Lytchak} and \textit{V. Schroeder}, Math. Z. 255, No. 2, 231--244 (2007; Zbl 1197.53044)].
