This book is a follow-up to the authors' previous book [Non-standard spatial statistics and spatial econometrics. Berlin: Springer (2011; Zbl 1407.62018)]. It is divided into two parts, where in each part three types of morphisms are considered: isomorphisms, homomorphisms and allomorphisms. The first 10 chapters cover the results about morphisms in spatial statistics, the remaining 11 with morphisms in spatial econometrics. The interested reader can find many information about some statistics like spatial and space-time autocorrelations, how to use them and to make appropriate conclusions, detailed descriptions about some parameter estimations in the spatial analysis etc. Special attention is dedicated to the analysis of Tinbergen-Bos systems. All statistical analysis described in the book is explained in detail through many real-life examples. The book is interesting, well-written and very useful for advanced statisticians and researchers who want to learn about the spatial relations in geography and economics.
