A higher Boltzmann distribution (Q1659255)

The paper provides a further different perspective which leads to single out the classical Boltzmann distribution, though in a very abstract framework which cannot be easily related to standard formulations or definitions. In particular, it is shown how it emerges as the unique solution to a combinatorial Hodge theory problem in homological degree zero on a finite graph.
