The authors study the existence of periodic solutions of second order scalar differential equations under asymptotical non-resonance conditions. They propose a sharp integral condition, which permits to estimate the time map of the associated autonomous equation. The existence of periodic solutions is thus proved via qualitative analysis and topological degree theory.
