The authors present a hyper-quaternion formulation of Clifford algebras in \(n\) dimensions. The hyper-quaternion algebra is defined as a tensor product of a quaternion algebra \(\mathbb{H}\). The authors develop a generalised multi-vector calculus. Moreover, they show that, due to the isomorphism \(\mathbb{H} \otimes \mathbb{H} \simeq M(4,\mathbb{R})\), the hyper-quaternions yield real, complex and quaternion square matrices. Finally, some physical applications are discussed.
