The authors give two notions of contraction mappings involving measure of noncompactness in Banach space and establish Darbo type fixed point theorems. The results are correlated to the theory of integral equations. For similar result see, e.g., a work of the two authors \textit{H. K. Nashine} and \textit{R. Arab} [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 20, No. 2, Paper No. 66, 17 p. (2018; Zbl 1499.45012)].
