This book presents applications of Newton-like and other similar methods, e.g., implicit and explicit methods for abstract functional equations involving fractional derivatives. The book contains ten chapters, and all the first eight chapters are structured with introduction, semilocal convergence for implicit methods and semilocal convergence of explicit methods, and brief applications to fractional calculus. The first three sections are always very similar to each other, and thus the whole book is easy to read. However, the book does not contain any exercise, nor extensive references (about 20 each), so it seems not a very useful reference on the topic of functional numerical methods nor fractional calculus.
