Bousfield localisations along Quillen bifunctors (Q1686702)

Given a Quillen bifunctor \(\otimes : \mathcal{C} \times \mathcal{D} \to \mathcal{E}\) of combinatorial model categories with \(\mathcal{E}\) left-proper, and a class of maps \(\mathcal{S}\) in \(\mathcal{C}\), the authors construct a localisation \(L_{\mathcal{S}}\mathcal{E}\) that is the closest model category to \(\mathcal{E}\) in a technical sense. Dually, given a set of \(\mathcal{K}\) of objects in \(\mathcal{C}\) the authors construct a \(\mathcal{K}\)-colocal model structure \(C_{\mathcal{K}}\mathcal{E}\). The results extend the construction of the stable \(\mathcal{E}\)-familiarization of a model category \(\mathcal{C}\) constructed in [\textit{D. Barnes} and \textit{C. Roitzheim}, Appl. Categ. Struct. 23, No. 3, 487--505 (2015; Zbl 1318.55009)]. As an application, the authors analyze the model category of Postnikov \(k\)-types.
