Topological complexity was introduced in [\textit{M. Farber}, Discrete Comput. Geom. 29, 211--221 (2004; Zbl 1038.68130)] and was extended to not necessarily commutative unital \(C^*\)-algebras in [\textit{V. Manuilov}, Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 50, 287--298 (2017; Zbl 1395.46055)]. The paper under review calculates topological complexity for several classes of \(C^*\)-algebras: AF algebras, AI algebras, even Cuntz algebras and some others. An example is given, showing that the topological complexity of matrix-valued functions on a space \(X\) may be smaller than that of the space \(X\) itself.
