The authors prove some applications of Abel's partial summation formula in ordered Banach spaces, such as a convergence result concerning positive series, the Jensen-Steffensen inequality, for which a new proof is provided, and a trace analogue of the Tomić-Weyl inequality of submajorization. In the introduction, several others are mentioned, together with a motivation of the new investigations.
