In this work the authors show that if \((X,\omega)\) is a compact Kähler manifold with non-positive holomorphic sectional curvature, then the canonical bundle \(K_{X}\) is nef. The authors also show that any compact Kähler manifold with negative holomorphic sectional curvature has an ample \(K_{X}\).
