The author considers a system of quadratic inequality constraints and the conditional sign-definiteness of a corresponding quadratic form. Conditional sign-definiteness plays a role, e.g. in control systems with uncertainty. Moreover, the so-called S-procedure is then used to establish necessary as well as sufficient conditions for the semi-definiteness of a corresponding relaxed problem.
