The authors investigate the behavior of sequences of solutions of homogeneous Dirichlet problems in the plane with critical Moser-Trudinger type nonlinearities. It is shown the existence of a sequence of exponentially critical nonlinearities whose corresponding sequence of solutions has a nontrivial weak limit.
