The book gives a modern and concise introduction to current topics in flavour physics from an experimental perspective. With the second edition the content has been updated, a new chapter (Chapter 10, ''The top and the Higgs'') has been added, and a previous chapter on a possible fourth generation, not confirmed by experiment, has been transformed into an appendix (Appendix B, ``Requiem to the 4th generation''). The main focus of the book is on flavour physics as a probe of physics above the TeV scale, complementary to direct searches of new physics. The emphasis is on loop-induced processes, where new physics particles may circulate in the loop. This allows to probe physics above the TeV scale. A large fraction of the book is dedicated to the transition \(b \rightarrow s\) and the mixing \(b \bar{s} \leftrightarrow \bar{s} s\), as the hope of unraveling new physics is the largest in these processes. The book gives a very good introduction into current experimental flavour programs and is recommended for experimentalists and theorists.
