This paper deals with a special class of so-called hybrid fractional order boundary value problems subject to the Dirichlet boundary conditions. Using the Green's function technique, a Lyapunov-type inequality has been obtained. Some applications such as the existence of nontrivial solutions and nonexistence interval of real eigenvalues in related fractional eigenvalue problems have been presented.
