The publication deals with the Verlinde formula related to the Chern-Simons theory. The authors deal with the gauge groups and argue about connectivity. In the end, they find a new relation between the Coulomb index and the equivalent Verline formula for the group \(\mathrm{SU}(2)\) which is equivalent to \(\mathrm{SO}(3)\).
