In this paper, the authors establish some results relating the properties of stability, concentration, approximation of the identity and Harnack type inequalities. In particular, the authors show that a basic Harnack type inequality, introduced by Calixto Calderón in the case of convolution, becomes natural to the setting and useful to connect the notions of stability, concentration and approximation of the identity. Furthermore, some general results were also extended to the space of homogeneous type.
