In a seminal paper [Invent. Math. 29, 245--274 (1975; Zbl 0312.55011)], \textit{P. Deligne} et al. proved that any compact Kähler manifold is a formal space. In the main result of the present paper, the authors prove the analogue for some contact manifolds, that arise as the total space of certain circle and sphere bundles over symplectic manifolds, including in particular some Sasakian manifolds.
