This paper mainly talks about the Calabi-Yau property of smash products. The authors solve two interesting questions. One is when is the smash product \(R\#H\) a Calabi-Yau Hopf algebra, where \(R\) is a Calabi-Yau algebra and \(H\) is a semisimple Hopf algebra? Conversely, when is \(R\) a Calabi-Yau algebra under the assumptions that \(H\) is the group algebra of a finite group and the smash product \(R\#H\) is a Calabi-Yau algebra? The authors find necessary and sufficient conditions for both of the above two questions.
