Let \(S\) be a compact Riemann surface, the author derives upper bounds for the number of values that two non-constant meromorphic functions on \(S\) can share. The interesting result is his Theorem 3: Let \(S\) be a gonality \(d\). If two non-constant meromorphic functions on \(S\) share \(2d+2\) values, then they are equal.
