The convolution of refinable function vectors is used to build families of subdivision algorithms. First the convergence properties of the Kronecker type convolution of two refinable function vectors are investigated. Then the convolution is used to define new refinable bases suitable to interpolate directions given by difference of control points with applications in grid generation methods.
