A scalar nonautonomous periodic differential equation with delay motivated by a delay host-macroparasite model is studied. Two sets of sufficient conditions for the system to have at least two positive periodic solutions are derived. It is shown that these sets of conditions are independent. In the first case, the delay is bounded above while in the second case it is not.
