Singularity analysis of quasi-linear DAEs (Q1766694)

The authors analyse quasilinear differential algebraic equations from a commutative algebra point of view. They first describe a reduction process to a finite number of simple differentially stable systems (systems in an irreducible form which do not contain hidden integrability conditions). Then, three different kind of singularities are discussed including impasse points and singularities of the constraint variety. Most results are not really original but adaption of results of other authors to the treated class of equations.
