Let \(E,F\) be locally convex spaces and \(f:E \to F\) a continuous function. Two solvability results for \(f(x)=0\) are given by means of the Browder-Fan and Schauder-Tychonoff fixed point principles. Applications to nonlinear complementarity problems are also considered.
