The paper is concerned with so-called fuzzy integro-differential equations and the corresponding fuzzy solutions. It begins with some preliminaries in which the various fuzzy concepts are made clear. Under three hypotheses one can prove the main Theorem of the paper on the existence and uniqueness of a fuzzy solution to the fuzzy equation. The result is then exemplified in relation to a one-dimensional heat equation. The paper extends existing results for fuzzy differential equations as well as those for integro-differential equations.
