An advanced motorcycle dynamics model has been improved substantially in this paper. These improvements concern: (a) tyre/road contact geometry; (b) tyre shear force and moment system; (c) tyre relaxation properties; and (d) the monoshock rear suspension mechanism. In particular, the authors derive the parameters for ``Magic Formula'' method, representing the shear forces developed by modern high performance motorcycle. The new model allows to study the steady turning, stability, design parameter sensitivity and response to road force calculations. The root locus plot method is utilized in analysis of motorcycle behavior of a linearized model. The predictions of this model are in general agreement with observations. The authors show that the frame flexibility remains an important design and analysis area, and motorcycle rider parameters have significant influence on the dynamic behavior.
