The paper is devoted to the problem of framing Laguerre 2D polynomials into the context of the representation of the Lie algebra \(G(0,1)\) of the complex harmonic oscillator group. By using Miller's technique generating relations involving Laguerre 2D polynomials and associated Laguerre polynomials are obtained. The paper closes with the discussion of special cases showing the analogy of Laguerre 2D polynomials to Hermite polynomials of one and two variables.
