The author continues his previous work [\textit{E. N. Dancer} and \textit{Z. Zhang}, J. Differ. Equations 182, No.~2, 470--489 (2002; Zbl 1006.35047)] on the study of the attractors of Lotka-Volterra competition systems with large interaction terms. Conley index ideas are used to show that the full system of equations inherits part of the connection structure of its limiting systems.
