Several characterizations of quasidisks have been obtained earlier [cf. \textit{Y. M. Chu} and \textit{J. F. Cheng}, Acta Math. Sin. 39, 556--560 (1996; Zbl 0867.30018)]. Considering a Jordan domain \(D\) with the boundary \(\Gamma\), the authors obtain the following new characterization of quasidisks. \(D\) is a quasidisk if and only if \(\Gamma\) is a bounded circular distortion curve.
