The authors give a strong convergence theorem for the semigroups of Lipschitz operators generated by a given sequence of infinitesimal generators and an approximation theorem for a semigroup of Lipschitz operators generated by a sequence of descrete semigroups. These theorems are applied to a semi-discrete approximation problem for a quasi-linear wave equation with damping and a finite difference method for a quasi-linear equation of Kirchhoff type.
