The aim of the paper under review is to characterize the Carleman classes of a scalar type spectral operator in a complex reflexive Banach space in terms of the operator's spectral measure (the resolution of the identity). Also, the paper gives a description of the analytic and entire vectors of scalar type spectral operators in a complex reflexive Banach space. Moreover, the paper studies a theorem of Paley-Wiener type.
