The authors study an algorithm for the solution of the one-dimensional atom-dipole interaction problem for a uniform distribution that is based on the combination of full multigrid and cell multipole methods. The authors show that the convergence rate of the proposed algorithm is faster than the rate of current methods used for the same problem.
