Complex scaling for a waveguide scattering problem (Q1778288)

The author proposes a variant of the complex scaling method for the scattering problem in a waveguide. For a second-order self-adjoint differential operator given on a waveguide domain he constructs a nonself-adjoint operator whose discrete spectrum coincides with the poles of the analytic continuation of the resolvent of the self-adjoint operator.
