A Mendelsohn triple system is a pair \((X,B)\) where \(X\) is the underlying set and \(B\) is a collection of cyclic triples of elements in \(X\) so that each ordered pair of distinct points from \(X\) appears in exactly one triple of \(B.\) In the paper the existence of a special class of Mendelsohn triple systems, so-called frame self-orthogonal systems, is studied.
