Products of positive semi-definite matrices (Q1789383)

Let \(A\) be a complex square matrix with positive determinant. The main result is a characterization of a matrix \(A\) that is a product of three positive semi-definite matrices. The authors also give an algorithm to determine the smallest number \(k\), where \(k = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5\), of positive semi-definite matrices whose product is \(A\).
