Summary: We obtain sharp bounds for the Seiffert mean in terms of a two parameter family of means. Our results generalize and extend the recent bounds presented in our works [the third author with \textit{S.-W. Hou} and \textit{Z.-H. Shen}, J. Inequal. Appl. 2012, Paper No. 11, 6 p. (2012; Zbl 1275.26051)] and [the third author and \textit{S.-W. Hou}, Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2012, Article ID 425175, 6 p. (2012; Zbl 1231.26034)].
